His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors, officially inaugurated the Centre for Innovation and Technology, a platform designed to shape the UAE’s future of healthcare. At the event, Dr Raja Al Gurg, Chairperson and Managing Director, was formally honoured for the contributions made by Al Gurg Charity Foundation.

The inauguration was held during a Dubai Health Board of Directors meeting, with all Board members in attendance, including Abdulla Abdul Rahman Al Shaibani, Walid Saeed Al Awadhi and Dr Amer Sharif. Al Jalila Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Dubai Health, extended its gratitude to Al Gurg Charity Foundation and Dr Raja for her instrumental role in establishing the advanced centre through a joint donation of AED 10 million. The Foundation noted her support was vital in helping strengthen medical education and enhance care delivery.

In her address, Dr Raja thanked His Highness for the honour, noting that her support for such initiatives builds on the values of her late father, Easa Saleh Al Gurg. She emphasised the centre will foster innovation by enabling research teams to adopt new technologies that transform ideas into real-world solutions.

At the event, Dr Amina Al Rustamani, CEO of TECOM Group was also honoured for her contribution.
