Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah was recently appointed Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies during a ceremony at Bayan Palace.

Dr Raja Al Gurg, Chairperson and Managing Director, attended the formal event as a delegate, joining distinguished officials and scholars for this significant milestone in Islamic academic leadership. The appointment represents a pivotal moment for advancing scholarly research and international collaboration in Islamic studies.

The ceremony brought together prominent figures, including Turki Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Vice Chairman, along with Sultan Nazrin Shah Ibni Sultan Azlan Muhibuddin Shah, Former Vice Chairman. Other attendees included Dr Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Former Prime Minister of Kuwait; Dr Abdullah Gul, Former President of Türkiye and Dr Farhan Nizami, Director of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies.
