Al Gurg Charity Foundation contribute AED 20 million to Hamdan bin Rashid Cancer Hospital

The Al Gurg Charity Foundation has signed an agreement with Al Jalila Foundation to contribute AED 20 million towards Dubai Health’s Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital, which is Dubai’s first integrated cancer care facility.

The agreement was signed by Easa Al Gurg, Group CEO – Al Gurg Group and Dr Amer Al Zarooni, CEO – Al Jalila Foundation, in the presence of Dr Raja Al Gurg, Chairperson & Managing Director – Al Gurg Group; Tanveer Ahmed Shabandri, CEO – ECIG; and other senior officials from both organisations and Dubai Health.

The funding will support advanced engineering systems for the hospital, being developed as a regional centre for cancer treatment and research. Al Gurg Group’s entities, Scientechnic and Al Gurg Automation & Controls, will deliver life-safety and engineering systems, including fire alarm systems, power solutions and low-voltage switchgear panels.

Reflecting on the contribution, Easa Al Gurg expressed that it represents a strategic investment in the future of healthcare and that the Group is proud to contribute its technical expertise to a national-level healthcare initiative.
