Dr Raja Al Gurg participated in the launch of The Cancer Fund’ by Al Jalila Foundation alongside HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors, at a ceremony held at Dubai Hospital.

The Cancer Fund aims to support cancer treatment by easing patients’ financial burdens and ensuring continuity of care throughout recovery. During the ceremony, “The Giving Wall’ was unveiled to recognise donors who have contributed to treatment programmes.

Speaking in her capacity as Chairperson of Al Jalila Foundation’s Board of Directors, Dr Raja stated, “The Cancer Fund reflects a forward-looking model of collaboration, with community and institutional giving playing a central role in strengthening our healthcare system and expanding its impact on patients’ lives.”

The ceremony was also attended by senior officials including HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Health Board of Directors; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director General of the Dubai Ruler’s Court; Dr Alawi AlSheikh-Ali, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority and Dr Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health and President of Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, among others.
