Dr Raja Al Gurg, Chairperson and Managing Director, attended the first meeting of the Rashid Villages Supervisory Committee, held at Emirates Towers, Dubai and chaired by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Committee.

HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, launched Rashid Villages in 2025 to mark the tenth anniversary of the passing of his brother, Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The initiative aims to provide underprivileged families with access to housing, education, healthcare and social services.

Dr Raja Al Gurg attended the meeting alongside other committee members, including Omar Sultan Al Olama, Vice Chairman of the Committee and representatives from Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and Dar Al Ber Society.

The committee’s first meeting focused on establishing the executive foundations of the Rashid Villages project and defining priorities for the next phase. Discussions covered the committee’s oversight mandate, mechanisms for approving plans and implementation phases and systems for regular progress monitoring.
