About ESAG Charity Foundation
The Charity Foundation was set up in October 2010 by late Easa Saleh Al Gurg, following a decree issued by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The Foundation assists in establishing and supporting charity housing projects, orphanages, elderly homes, day-care centres, academic institutes, scientific research centres, public libraries besides providing study and research grants to students.
The Foundation is also responsible for establishing and supporting medical facilities, rehabilitation centres, providing medical aid for the needy, assisting in the building of mosques, cultural centres and Islamic research centres. In addition, the Foundation is involved in social development activities such as increasing awareness on Islamic heritage and civilization. The organization also supports environment preservation projects.
Our Beginning
Our Founder, Easa Saleh Al Gurg, has been involved with charitable work for many decades. As the number of charitable projects that he was involved in, began to multiply, the Founder felt it was prudent to formalize these activities and create an organization that would operate on his behalf. The creation of Easa Saleh Al Gurg Charity Foundation was unanimously seconded by the members of the Al Gurg family during a meeting in 2010.
Vision
We adopt charitable and humanitarian projects which include cultural and community-based non-profitable activities. The Foundation’s work is directed by a clear and compelling vision: “To enable people in need to help themselves.”
Mission
To be involved in community projects and initiatives which primarily focus on education and health. While we do not seek financial support from others, we do “partner” with like-minded individuals and organizations to achieve common goals. The aim of the Foundation is to help raise the quality of life particularly for those who are young, disadvantaged or elderly.
